VeEX offers MTTplus-340 advanced multi-service test module
VeEX Inc. has introduced a module for its MTTplus platform. The MTTplus-340 advanced multi-service test module, now generally available, is designed to enable independent and complete multi-rate testing capabilities for a variety of applications, from installation and maintenance processes to troubleshooting.
The module features dual SFP+/SFP optical transceiver ports, dual RJ-45 ports, dual SMA for external clock references, as well as standard legacy electrical interfaces. Its two fully independent test ports enable simultaneous measurements for such applications as access, metro and Carrier Ethernet, core, metro, SAN, backhaul, and fronthaul through support of OTN, SONET/SDH, PDH/DSn, Fibre Channel, CPRI, C37.94, and synchronization measurements.
“The MTTplus-340 includes native support for all the latest high-speed interfaces up to 16G, as well as lower legacy rates for day-to-day installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Its dual-port architecture allows two independent tests and enables new functionalities, such as pluggable optical module diagnostics and advanced optical transceiver testing,” said Erick Davila, product marketing manager at VeEX.
VeEX sees the module offering significant benefits to telcos, cable MSOs, utilities, and contractors.
