ADVA says its AccessWave25 is an optical transceiver based on an advanced modulation format that enables 25-Gbps DWDM connectivity from any device with an SFP28 port over distances never before seen. AccessWave25 module enables network operators to easily migrate their 10-Gbps access infrastructure to 25 Gbps without increase in footprint or changes to an existing optical layer. The pluggable device is designed to answer the need for higher bandwidth in mobile xHaul, cable access, wholesale, and premium business applications. Operators can now slot an AccessWave25 into any standards-based SFP28 port, facilitating an instant capacity upgrade from 10 Gbps to 25 Gbps.
Judge’s Comment: “Product addresses a need for cost-effective 25-Gbps access for xHaul and aggregated XGS-PON.”
