Tata Play Fiber deploys Juniper Networks Cloud Metro routers for 400G capabilities

The new network architecture will enable Tata Play Fiber to distribute content closer to subscribers, which Juniper Networks says holds the potential to increasing capacity and performance while streamlining service delivery.

Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR) says it has won a deal to supply Indian ISP Tata Play Fiber with elements from its Cloud Metro portfolio. The routers will be used to provide 400G capabilities to Tata Play Fiber’s regional networks.

The communication technology company will supply its ACX7100 Cloud Metro Routers as the 400G foundation as well as the ACX710 for access layer requirements. The new network architecture will enable Tata Play Fiber to distribute content closer to subscribers, which Juniper Networks says holds the potential to increasing capacity and performance while streamlining service delivery. Meanwhile, Tata Play Fiber also will leverage Juniper Networks' Broadband Network Gateway (BNG) subscriber management platform to further simplify service delivery to customers in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, New Delhi and other major cities across India.
