Juniper Networks to provide UPC Poland’s 400G core infrastructure network

The Liberty Global business unit will use the 400G-ready network to deliver broadband services, digital television, and mobile and VoIP telephony to residential customers and a variety of gigabit business voice and data services as well.

Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR) says it will provide an international core infrastructure network for UPC Poland. The Liberty Global business unit will use the 400G-ready network to deliver broadband services, digital television, and mobile and VoIP telephony to residential customers and a variety of gigabit business voice and data services as well.

The network upgrade comes in the face of a 40% compound annual growth rate in traffic on the cable MSO’s infrastructure. The enhancement will be based on the Juniper Networks PTX10008 Series Router.

The upgrade initiative has begun, with the first network node deployed in Poznan. Another enhanced node is scheduled to follow in Warsaw, with another three nodes on the list for the future.
