XKL DQT400 Optical Transponder now available in all markets
XKL LLC says its four-port DQT400 optical transponder has moved from limited availability to availability in all the markets it serves. Originally unveiled in 2021, the DQT400 offers 400G support as part of XKL’s DarkStar DWDM transponder family.
The DQT400 helps data centers, enterprises, and other data-centric organizations navigate the transition from 100G to 400G optical networking. The transponder can be used to support 100G initially and then may expand its application to 400G via software configuration that avoids downtime and hardware modifications if purchased with DR4 client optics. Technicians can merely plug in the necessary transponders change the transponder’s operation from 100GbE to 400GbE via software control.
The DQT400 offers an integrated system architecture; the management network does not access to customer data, which enables reliability and security. The system is also stackable to create up to 19.2-Tbps capabilities using the DMD-A Mux/Demux system. Alternatively, the network operator can stack the DQT400 with DQT10 or DQT100 systems for compatibility through the DMD-A Mux/Demux system, says XKL.
“As data centers and enterprises build new operations or add capacity, XKL delivers easy-to-install, fast, flexible, scalable solutions that are designed to support both near- and long-term bandwidth needs,” said XKL Founder and CEO Len Bosack. “The DQT400 performs exactly as needed today – supporting 100G and 400G services by soft configuring the interfaces when the time comes. We also back our products with top-of-the-line service and support, with no license fees, ever.”
