Aqua Comms opens CeltixConnect-2 and North Sea Connect submarine cable networks

CeltixConnect-2 and North Sea Connect leverage the newly completed Havhingsten submarine cable system.

Undersea capacity supplier Aqua Comms has announced that it has two new submarine cable networks open for business. CeltixConnect-2 (CC-2) and North Sea Connect (NSC) leverage the newly completed Havhingsten submarine cable system (see “Havhingsten submarine cable system construction completed”).

CC-2 joins CeltixConnect-1 as unrepeatered systems between Ireland and the UK and offers diverse landings into the Isle of Man. The networks and their resilient, high-fiber-count capacity should appeal to carrier, cloud, and content customers, Aqua Comms believes.

NSC, meanwhile, offers a new route between the UK and the Nordics, according to the company. The repeatered cable system connects the Stellium Data Centre at D9’s SeaEdge-1 in Newcastle, UK, with Blaabjerg, Denmark, which also hosts Aqua Comms’ AEC-2 transatlantic submarine cable system.

CC-2 and NSC will provide regional connectivity to Aqua Comms’ AEC-1 and AEC-2 transatlantic cables as well.
