TELUS chooses DZS Cloud for network service orchestration, slice management, software automation

The DZS Cloud E2EO open, modularized, cloud-native software orchestration platform is designed to simplify the development and deployment of end-to-end-services, networking, and use-cases on any cloud.

DZS (NASDAQ:DZSI) has announced a new customer, which comes aboard via its recent acquisition of cloud automation platform developer RIFT (see “DZS buys RIFT for network orchestration and software automation play”). Canadian service provider TELUS has chosen the newly christened DZS Cloud End-to-End Orchestration and Automation (E2EO) platform, based on RIFT’s RIFT.ware, for orchestration and life cycle management of virtual applications and services and opening the door to advanced capabilities such as network slicing.

The DZS Cloud E2EO open, modularized, cloud-native software orchestration platform is designed to simplify the development and deployment of end-to-end-services, networking, and use-cases on any cloud. Features and capabilities it supports include OpenRAN or vRAN virtual network functions (VNFs) and containerized network functions (CNFs), 5G network slicing feature packs, FTTx network orchestration, enterprise-oriented universal customer premises equipment (uCPE), and SD-WAN, according to DZS. Its open design enables incorporation of VNFs and CNFsfrom other vendors as well.
