Rally targets fiber to the MDU in Toronto via Nokia

Rally is using the Lightspan MF-2 platform, which supports both 10G and 25G PON, to improve services to its customers, the majority of whom live in condominiums and MDUs in the Greater Toronto Area.

Rally, a Toronto-based fiber broadband service provider for residential, healthcare, and senior care customers, has launched deployment of Nokia's Lightspan MF-2 fiber access node across its network in Toronto to serve multiple dwelling units (MDUs). The company is Nokia’s first North American customer for the platform.

Rally is using the Lightspan MF-2 platform, which supports both 10G PON and 25G PON, to improve services to its customers, the majority of whom live in condominiums and MDUs in the Greater Toronto Area, particularly the central business districts of Toronto, North York, and Mississauga. The company also provides services to 150 hospitals across Canada in partnership with HealthHub Patient Engagement Solutions. Rally has decided to pair the Lightspan MF-2 deployment with Nokia's mesh WiFi technology and Altiplano Access Controller. Altiplano will enable Software Defined Access Network (SDAN) capabilities.
