Clearfield offers CraftSmart FiberFirst Pedestal for fiber-only deployments
Clearfield, Inc. (NASDAQ:CLFD) has unveiled the CraftSmart FiberFirst Pedestal, which the company asserts is the first pedestal designed to support fiber-only deployments. The company says the pedestal is applicable to any outdoor environment but is particularly well suited to rural broadband deployments.
The non-metallic CraftSmart FiberFirst Pedestal is designed to be cost-effective and exceed industry standards for strength, reliability, and environmental parameters. Part of the Clearfield Labor Lite initiative, the pedestal features a “free-breathing,” 12-inch modular design with a waffle backplane to support a variety of mounting options within the enclosure. Designed to provide UV, chemical, and impact resistance, the pedestal features a high-strength, rigid construction for long-term reliability. The FiberFirst Pedestal can be used in a wide variety of service networks, thus eliminating the need for multiple, specialty pedestals.

The pedestal is in production now and Clearfield is accepting orders.
