Hexatronic to supply UK’s KCOM with fiber cable, duct
Hexatronic UK Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hexatronic Group AB, says it has won a contract with UK communications services provider KCOM Group Ltd., to supply fiber-optic cable, micro duct and connectivity products from its Matrix line. KCOM will use the Matrix products in a fiber to the premises (FTTP) expansion effort (see "KCOM to expand FTTP footprint beyond Hull, UK").
Hexatronic UK says the agreement runs for three years and has an approximate value of 3 MGBP.

KCOM had the first digital network in the EU, the first interactive TV service in the UK, and now we are the first with full fiber to the premises coverage,” said Dale Raneberg, KCOM’s chief executive. “A different architecture approach is essential to enable us to expand our FTTP network into areas where we have no existing footprint. The Hexatronic team has demonstrated excellent product knowledge and insight to provide connectivity solutions which will help us achieve our goal of connecting more people to our award-winning full-fiber network.”
