Crosslake Fibre extends Velocity Trading Network Platform to Chicago

Fiber-optic network services provider Crosslake Fibre has extended its Velocity Trading Network Platform to Chicago. The company has established an on-ramp to the platform, which targets financial trading organizations and other network service providers, to the city’s well-known 350 E. Cermak data center facility.

The connection will provide access to Crosslake Fibre’s fiber routes to Toronto and New York. The company takes its name from its route across Lake Ontario (see, for example, “Crosslake Fibre fiber-optic network from Toronto to New York enters service”). Crosslake Fibre says it also will offer low-latency, high-capacity direct interconnections with “all major carriers and cloud hyperscalers.” With low-latency, high-capacity, and diverse connections at transmission rates as high as 100 Gbps between key data centers in Chicago, Toronto, and New York.
