Dutch data center services supplier Serverius deploys ADVA FSP 3000 TeraFlex
ADVA (FSE: ADV) says it has supplied its FSP 3000 TeraFlex terminal to Dutch data center service provider Serverius. The deployment enables Serverius to tackle the increasing bandwidth demands of its connectivity, colocation, and data security services customers, according to the systems house.
Introduced in March 2017 (see “ADVA Optical Networking touts 600-Gbps data center interconnect with TeraFlex terminal”) and subsequently upgraded, the TeraFlex terminal supports the transmission of multiple 1.2-Tbps superchannels in a 1RU chassis; the total capacity per chassis is 7.2 Tbps. Serverius also is using ADVA’s MicroMux QSFP28 plug, which converts 100 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) client ports into ten 10GbE ports.
“By harnessing the very latest innovation, we’re bringing a new level of bandwidth capacity and service quality to businesses throughout the Netherlands and beyond,” stated Sergey Petukhin, head of connectivity infrastructure at Serverius.” The ADVA FSP 3000 TeraFlex is key to our mission of providing world-class data center connectivity. And, with its space- and power-efficiency, it also ensures that our services remain highly affordable today and sustainable for the future.
“This deployment unlocks the full potential of our network,” Petukhin added. “Now we can meet rapidly rising data demand and be sure that our infrastructure is ready to scale when our clients need even more capacity. What’s more, the openness and programmability of TeraFlex mean that we’re free to harness the benefits of tomorrow’s innovation without being tied to any one vendor.”
