DE-CIX opens internet exchanges in Esbjerg and Copenhagen, Denmark

The new IXs in Esbjerg and Copenhagen expand DE-CIX’s footprint in the Nordics. The company also recently launched exchanges in Norway and Finland.

Internet exchange (IX) operator DE-CIX has announced the opening of a pair of IXs in Denmark. The exchanges in Esbjerg and Copenhagen are ready for service in Bulk Data Centers’ DK01 and Digital Realty’s CPH1, CPH2, and CPH3 facilities, with more sites joining in the future.

The new IXs are based the DE-CIX Apollon interconnection and cloud platform, which includes cloud routing services that enable customers to manage their hybrid and multi-cloud scenarios and control their data beyond the public internet. DE-CIX also is offering its InterconnectionFLEX service to supply a holistic approach for peering, cloud connectivity, and private network interconnects (PNIs).
