QTS Data Centers says it recently purchased 200 acres for its Richmond Mega Data Center campus in Henrico, VA. The expansion project will see the addition of up to 240 MW across 1.5 million square feet of new capacity, the company says.
Located in the White Oak Technology Park in Henrico, the campus hosts the Richmond Network Access Point (NAP), which provides access to more than 20 network providers and four transcontinental submarine cables, including Google’s Dunant. QTS also has collaborated with DE-CIX to create DE-CIX Richmond, further boosting the capabilities of the QTS Richmond Data Center (see "DE-CIX opens DE-CIX Richmond internet exchange").
