North American communications technology distributor Power & Tel has relocated to a new headquarters facility in Piperton, TN. The nearly 250,000 square-foot facility also will serve as a distribution and business hub.
The headquarters campus comprises 28 acres at 200 Keough Drive in Piperton, which is located on the border with Mississippi, just southeast of Memphis. The facility will house much of the company’s sales and office staff and what Power & Tel described as “a large share” of its distribution space. The company also has offices throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Power & Tel says it plans to donate its previous headquarters to Memphis-based nonprofits and community businesses.
“Expanding our corporate headquarters and overall footprint is a major indicator of our company’s progress since our founding more than 50 years ago,” said Jennifer Pentecost Sims, Power & Tel’s CEO. “Our new campus represents the strong foundation we’ve built and where we’re planning to go in the future.
“Our ultimate goal was to create a facility to serve our expanding presence in the communication technology space,” Sims added. “As we continue to grow, pursue new partnerships, and enter new markets, our headquarters will be able to amply accommodate that growth.”
Founded in 1963, Power & Tel distributes communication equipment to service providers and contractors and often works closely with the OEMs it represents on deployment projects (see, for example, “Pioneer Communications improves broadband bandwidth with Fujitsu and Power & Tel”).
