NCTC signs tech supply agreements with Evolution Digital, OpenVault

July 21, 2022
The agreements will enable NCTC’s more than 700 members to take advantage of Evolution Digital’s suite of WiFi and Android TV products as well as OpenVault’s SaaS-based tools, analytic capabilities, and reports.

The National Cable Television Cooperative, Inc. (NCTC) revealed this week that it has signed new technology supply agreements with existing partners Evolution Digital and OpenVault. The agreements will enable NCTC’s more than 700 members to take advantage of Evolution Digital’s suite of WiFi and Android TV products as well as OpenVault’s SaaS-based tools, analytic capabilities, and reports.

The agreement with Evolution Digital includes access to the company’s OpenSync-certified devices, including WiFi 6 and WiFi 6E router/mesh and beacons and DOCSIS 3.1 WiFi 6 gateway, that enable Plume’s SaaS Experience Platform. NCTC members also can purchase elements of Evolution Digital’s Android TV hardware line, including eSTREAM 4K, EVO FORCE 1, and EVO PRO.

“This new agreement further builds upon the trusted and long-standing relationship between Evolution Digital and NCTC,” said Marc Cohen, chief revenue officer at Evolution Digital (see, for example, "Evolution Expands NCTC IP Video Deployments"). “We are excited to continue our close partnership to enable best-in-breed services for the connected whole-home ecosystem. Evolution Digital’s acumen for delivering the latest innovative technology at a competitive price point, coupled with NCTC’s reliability and efficiency for managing materials and transactions, breeds reliability and promptness with the service providers that we jointly serve. We look forward to working closely with NCTC.”

OpenVault, meanwhile, will offer its suite of network optimization and diagnostics tools, monetization and customer engagement tools, and other capabilities that are designed to increase services capacity virtually. The company also will offer the NCTC-OpenVault Industry Trends and Analytics Report, a customized version of its OpenVault Broadband Insights (OVBI) report.

“Since 2012, OpenVault and NCTC have had a great partnership. OpenVault’s tools enable our members to make data driven decisions to better manage and monetize their networks as consumer demands rapidly change,” commented Zach Cutrell, director of technology innovation at NCTC. “This new agreement only strengthens our relationship, expanding on the available feature set while introducing new pricing options for even our smallest members.”
