August 9, 2006 Mill Creek, WA -- Westover Scientific has added a new line of products to enable the inspection and cleaning of ARINC 801-compliant fiber-optic connectors. ARINC 801-compliant connectors are often found in aerospace applications.

With a variety of alignment guides, Westover provides the ability to inspect and clean a wide range of ARINC 801 connectivity. Alignment guides fit with the respective plug and receptacle shell sizes of various multi-termini connector types to provide a sufficient interface for inspection and cleaning of either pins or sockets. Alignment guides are available individually or kitted together.

When used in conjunction with Westover's Professional Series probe microscopes and portable display units, the ARINC 801 alignment guides provide the means for a quick and easy inspection of these rugged, multi-termini connectors in a field or factory environment. In addition, these guides can also be used Westover's CleanBlast systems to provide a quick and repeatable means of cleaning the optical end-faces of ARINC 801 connectivity.
