Communications network analyzer

MP1656A portable STM-16 analyzer suits research and development, installation, maintenance, test and in-service monitoring of digital transport telecommunications networks. It tests at 2.5 Gbits/sec in a stand-alone configuration. When combined with the MP1550A/B analyzer, it measures from 2 Mbits/sec to 2.5 Gbits/sec. The unit comes standard with DFB lasers, and a choice of 1300-, 1550-, or both 1300- and 1550-nm wavelengths. Measurement functions include errors, alarms, pointers and G.826 performance. The analyzer features a built-in floppy-disk drive for storage of test results, an audible alarm, and Ieee 488 and RS-232 communication ports.
