VIAVI describes the ONMS (Optical Network Management Solution) as a PON lifecycle management solution that enables customers to transform the construction, service activation, and operations management procedures of complex point-to-multipoint PON networks that support FTTH, business services, and fiber to the antenna (FTTA) for 5G. the ONMS includes test heads and control software, a mobile app, and maps as well as a PON inventory test database.
