MulitLane’s Active Loopback (ALB) is a DSP-based module designed to address 800G host port characterization challenges, in addition to the CMIS configuration challenges. It offers retiming and equalizing capabilities to run link tests, capabilities to run BER/SNR diagnostics and analysis, CMIS support, and thermal management capabilities. The Ethernet interface enables direct access to the MultiLane ThunderBERT GUI, a BERT GUI that allows the user to run the same diagnostic features via the powerful interface. The ALB can help customers run full diagnostics at every stage of the development including post deployment.

Judge’s Comment: “The Active Loopback is more than an advanced ping. I like the ability to use the model in a test environment and monitor heat per port. You can test potential configurations of devices and monitor how they react to the constraint before implementation. From heat sensors to TX/RX speed to packet loss.”
