EXFO: Edge-Coupling PIC Automated Solution

Feb. 7, 2023
EXFO’s Edge-Coupling PIC Automated Solution features an ultra-accurate and repeatable movement (the industry’s most accurate and repeatable, according to the company).
EXFO’s OPAL Edge-Coupling PIC Automated Solution features an ultra-accurate and repeatable movement (the industry’s most accurate and repeatable, according to the company). The movement quality also enables height positioning repeatability that is 3.5X better than the competition, says EXFO, which improves the quality and repeatability of the data when surface grating couplers (SGCs) are used. Meanwhile, advanced automation delivered by the combination of the software and hardware enables the system to determine probe placement in space and move it according to advanced profiles.

Judge’s Comment: “This is a really well-engineered test automation product. It has both hardware testing attributes as well as corresponding automation, visualization, and ML features that make it differentiated from other solutions.”
