JGR Optics announces availability of PDL1 polarization dependent loss meter

Aug. 12, 2021
The PDL1 adapts to many types of optical component testing and includes free GMS software to automate measurements

JGR Optics Inc. announced the availability of its new PDL1, a polarization dependent loss meter based on proven optics of the PDL5 to provide accurate, fast and reliable PDL and IL measurements. The product boasts accuracy to within 0.005dB +2%.

The PDL1 adapts to many types of optical component testing and includes free GMS software to automate measurements. An external PM fiber input with a 1260 to 1650 wavelength range allows great flexibility, while an intuitive touch screen display simplifies operation. The meter can also be controlled remotely with an Ethernet or USB interface.
