JGR Optics announces availability of PDL1 polarization dependent loss meter

JGR Optics Inc. announced the availability of its new PDL1, a polarization dependent loss meter based on proven optics of the PDL5 to provide accurate, fast and reliable PDL and IL measurements. The product boasts accuracy to within 0.005dB +2%.

The PDL1 adapts to many types of optical component testing and includes free GMS software to automate measurements. An external PM fiber input with a 1260 to 1650 wavelength range allows great flexibility, while an intuitive touch screen display simplifies operation. The meter can also be controlled remotely with an Ethernet or USB interface.
