Bristol Instruments adds model 338A to 338 Optical Wavelength Meter Series
Bristol Instruments has expanded its 338 Optical Wavelength Meter Series with the addition of the model 338A. The optical wavelength meter measures the wavelength of CW and modulated signals to an accuracy of ± 0.3 pm through Michelson interferometer-based technology with fast Fourier transform analysis.
The 338A as well as 338B systems offer a measurement rate of 25 Hz, which Bristol says reduces test times and increases production throughput (see "Bristol Instruments unveils 338 Series Optical Wavelength Meter for optical transceiver testing"). They also feature what the company says is a low price point as well as Bristol’s standard five-year warranty.
“We’re committed to continually improving our products to address the production needs of our customers,” commented Dr. Brian Samoriski, vice president of sales and marketing at Bristol Instruments. “With the addition of the 338A Optical Wavelength Meter, we have combined affordability, speed, and higher accuracy in one system to help optimize optical transceiver testing.”
