OptoTest offers OP940-CSW MPO/MTP insertion loss and return loss test system
OptoTest has unveiled the OP940-CSW, a compact insertion loss (IL) and return loss (RL) test system for MPO/MTP requirements. The instrument offers the speed and accuracy of the switched OP940 in a new form factor that improves the test process, the company asserts.
Available in both 12- and 24-fiber variants, the OP940-CSW is an internally switched benchtop IL and RL meter. The front-panel design eliminates the need for fanout cables; having a single connector on the front panel makes multifiber testing cleaner and more efficient, OptoTest asserts. The OP940-CSW retains the performance of the company’s existing range of IL and RL meters while shrinking multichannel testing capabilities from a rackmount size to a smaller form factor, OptoTest adds.
The OP940-CSW is compatible with the company’s software offerings, including OPL-CLX and OPL-Max. DLLs are also available for applications that require custom programs. The OP940-CSW can be paired with the company’s OP415 Polarity Analyzer and OPL-CLX Software Suite, OptoTest points out.
