AMS Technologies and Arden Photonics enter distribution agreement

AUGUST 3, 2009 -- AMS Technologies now has exclusive sales rights in Germany and Austria and non-exclusive sales rights in France, Spain, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary.

AUGUST 3, 2009 -- AMS Technologies AG (search Lightwave for AMS Technologies) and Arden Photonics Ltd. (search Lightwave for Arden Photonics) have entered into a distribution agreement. AMS Technologies now has exclusive sales rights in Germany and Austria and non-exclusive sales rights in France, Spain, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary.

Arden Photonics designs and manufactures instruments and components for the measurement of a range of properties of optical fibers, lasers, LEDs, and optics. The main areas of expertise include launch condition analyzers and controllers for multimode optical fibers; high magnification interferometers for fiber end-face inspection; and laser beam profilers including real-time measurement of beam quality factor.

Arden's products are used for applications such as inspection of fiber end faces, end test for multimode patchcords, and verification of fiber-coupled light sources.
