Nov. 11, 2008
NOVEMBER 11, 2008 -- LG Dacom, a triple-play service provider in South Korea, has selected JDSU's service assurance platform, NetComplete, to support its nationwide deployment of IPTV services.

NOVEMBER 11, 2008 -- JDSU (search for JDSU) today announced that its service assurance platform, NetComplete, has been selected by LG Dacom, a leading triple-play service provider in South Korea, to support LG Dacom's deployment of IPTV services nationwide.

"LG Dacom chose the JDSU NetComplete IPTV monitoring system because it underscores our dedication to deliver high-quality IPTV services to our subscribers--JDSU stood apart for NetComplete's scalability, cost-effectiveness, concise results reporting, user-friendly GUI, and for the company's strong level of local support," recalls Mr. Jung, director of LG Dacom's Broadcasting Technology Team. "NetComplete IPTV is the best-in-class solution for operational excellence and allows us to offer our subscribers rich video content with the high quality of experience that makes TV entertainment truly enjoyable."

"JDSU is proud to support the IPTV deployment of LG Dacom," adds Jerry Gentile, vice president in JDSU's Communications Test and Measurement business segment. "Our service assurance solutions will instill confidence that IPTV service will be delivered with what customers expect--a high level of quality."

After a series of thorough benchmarking tests and evaluation by independent external experts, LG Dacom says it selected JDSU based on the performance of the company's NetComplete IPTV offering, a combination of the QT-600 Ethernet triple-play probe, NetAnalyst and NetOptimize software, as well as the Clarity video portal. NetComplete was also graded highly for its end-to-end monitoring and success with other large IPTV deployments, including recently announced Deutsch Telekom.

The JDSU NetComplete service assurance portfolio comprises probes and OSS software for fixed and mobile networks, as well as quality-of-service (QoS) and quality-of-experience (QoE) offerings for the quadruple play (voice, video, data, and wireless services) and includes the recently launched Home Performance Management (PM) with extended monitoring ability into the home.
