Coriant supplies Groove G30 to France-IX for optical transport network upgrades

Coriant says it has supplied its Groove G30 Network Disaggregation Platform (NDP) to peering service provider France-IX. With carrier and data center-neutral internet exchange points in Paris and Marseille, France-IX has deployed Coriant's optical transport systems to upgrade the scalability and flexibility of its optical transport network, meeting members' increasing peering capacity demand accelerated by content-consuming end-user applications.

According to Coriant, the deployment of its Groove G30 NDP in major metro data center sites in Paris is part of France-IX's recent backbone upgrade project, and supports high-capacity, low-latency nx100G optical connectivity. France-IX will use the NDP tostreamline network operations and provide 100G services to video game developer and digital distribution companies, and to major and high-growth international carriers, public cloud providers, content delivery networks, content and hosting service providers, and others in its member community, Coriant says.

Following compliance testing and validation of interoperability with existing infrastructure, France-IX began deployment of the Coriant 100G optical transport platform in three metro data center sites in Paris this summer. The platform will be deployed on the entire France-IX backbone during 2018.
