Power amplifiers and preamplifier

The fpa-15 and fpa-18 fiber-optic power amplifiers produce >15 and 18 dBm, respectively, and high small-signal gain. The fpa-35 fiber-optic preamplifier has a 3.4-dB noise figure at 1550 nm; internal ase suppression filter optimized near 1532 nm and optical output isolation are standard. The standard preamplifier uses an 80-mW, 980-nm pump laser diode, while the enhanced version uses a 100-mW pump laser.
