Siemens Telecom Networks, Boca Raton, FL, has agreed to integrate Mt. Laurel, NJ-based Positron Fiber Systems` osiris sonet technology into its MultiLink access product family. The product line includes access platforms that provide telephony, wideband, and broadband services via fiber-in-the-loop and copper distribution architectures. osiris features sonet add/drop multiplexers that are designed for ring networks and point-to-point configurations. The joint development will provide Siemens with integrated OC-3/OC-12 (155- and 622- Mbit/sec) sonet support and Open Systems Interconnection-based management. Customers will be able to integrate the Siemens access products into multivendor sonet OC-3/OC-12 rings.
