Gigabit Ethernet transceiver

The S2066 is a CMOS-fabricated, quad-channel transceiver for use in Gigabit Ethernet switches. Each of the component`s four channels operates at 1.25 Gbits/sec (full duplex), in conformance with the IEEE 802.3z Gigabit Ethernet specification. The device is suitable for high-density switching applications such as Ethernet backbones, multiport Gigabit Ethernet cards, switched networks, and data broadcast environments. It dissipates 575 mW per channel (2.3W total) from a single 3.3V power supply. The transceiver is available in a 208-pin TBGA package. It is priced at $68 in quantities of 100.
