"PXIT's instruments uniquely address our needs for a test solution designed for volume manufacturing of optical communications modules," said Picolight Test Engineering Manager Paul Brusenbach. "PXIT provided us with a cost-effective, testing solution that has a small footprint and can handle our intense throughput requirements."

"Our products, which are based on the PXI open industry standard, provide manufacturers of single fiber pigtails and XFPs with an entirely new option for testing their components," said Fadi Daou, chief technology officer of PXIT.

PXIT was formed through the merger of Tsunami Photonics Ltd. and PX Instrument Technology in May 2003. PXIT Inc. is a subsidiary of PXIT, Dublin, Ireland, which manufactures a range of test instruments for manufacturers of optical and high-speed electrical components and modules.
