Optical transceiver OE Solutions has begun operations in Brazil – specifically, in Sao Caetano do Sul, Greater Sao Paulo city area. The company has partnered with Unipneus Import & Export to advance its efforts in the country.
The company’s first item of business will be to introduce its Smart SFP and other transceivers to the local market at Futurecom 2012 in Rio de Janeiro. The line, developed in partnership with AimValley of the Netherlands, includes both the OAM Smart SFP and the TSoP Smart SFP. The former provides support for Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM) Link OAM IEEE 802.3ah or Connectivity Fault Management (CFM) of end-to-end service OAM IEEE 802.1ag and Y.1731 Performance Management. The TSoP Smart SFP supports migration from OC-3/STM-1 and OC-12/STM-4 to packet-centric transport based on the TSoP protocol.
