Greece's Optronics adds Technologies, products

25 October 2002 -- Optronics, the Greek manufacturer and distributor of fibre-optic products has changed its name to Optronics Technologies S.A.

25 October 2002 -- Optronics, the Greek manufacturer and distributor of fibre-optic products has changed its name to Optronics Technologies S.A. Simultaneously, the company has added the new the FPF and FPDF fibre-optic patch panel models to its Fibre-Net Series.

The patch panels are upgradable and drawer type 1U panels designed to fit in 19in racks. All products are available for mounting all connector types ST, SC, FC, SMA , duplex SC. They can also accommodate the SFF types as MT-RJ and duplex LC.

The devices are based on a special design that allows for easy upgrade from 8 to 24 connectors by changing only the front panel and leaving all the cables, cassettes and pigtails in place.
The Fiber-Net Series of products are intended for LAN and telecom applications and are sold complete with cable glands, caps and cable holders.

Each panel can accept up to two cassettes for 12 splice holders each, as well as their cover. The accessories are available from stock world-wide. Detailed product descriptions and specification sheets can be found at www.optronics.gr
