FiberBase 3.0 end-to-end fiber connectivity information management software incorporates schematic, patch cord and splice workspaces that support geographical searches for network elements. The schematic workspace creates a visual representation of the network by using block diagrams to manipulate network elements and connection points. The patch cord workspace records information on how patch cords are placed on equipment, while the splice workspace reflects the arrangement of splices in the splice drawer. Both the patch cord and splice workspaces can depict the data graphically. The software upgrade includes a trace viewer, which improves long-term storage and organization of otdr traces, and document links, which allow the integration of computer-aided design drawings, maps and databases.
