Minneapolis-based ADC Telecommunications Inc. will acquire AOFR Pty. Ltd. and its associated business units as a strategic move to expand into Southeast Asia. Located near Canberra, Australia, AOFR manufactures fiber-optic couplers and components and is a subsidiary of the Broken Hill Proprietary Co. Ltd. ADC Telecommunications will produce its own line of fiber frames, panels, and outside plant enclosures at the AOFR facility.
