November 16, 2005 Minneapolis, MN -- ADC has announced the availability of its RiserGuide on-demand cable management system. Part of the company's FiberGuide product family and built on its Snap-Fit platform, the system is designed to provide optimized cable management and tool-free installation for both horizontal and vertical rack riser applications.

According to the company, in the past, active equipment had far less fiber to be managed; now, with the increase in density and number of ports, cable management is becoming a "make-or-break" issue that must be addressed to create and maintain robust, secure networks.

The company says the RiserGuide system safely and efficiently routes fibers for optimum network performance; specifically, the system can be installed between active equipment racks or cabinets for vertical applications as well as directly in a rack or cabinet for horizontal applications.

"RiserGuide is flexible, modular, and easy to both install and remove, allowing for on-the-spot cable management and full network optimization," comments Thomas Huegerich, director of fiber products for ADC. "This system is for customers who require cable management solutions that go beyond the out-of-the-box solution that may already be in place."

The company currently offers a variety of standard RiserGuide products; the company says its flexible Snap-Fit platform allows it to also offer customized platforms to suit specific customer needs and applications.

The company says its FiberGuide product family provides routing paths and optimal cable management to organize and protect vital fiber cables. The system is designed to assure that correct bend radius is maintained regardless of which components and sections are assembled.
