September 3, 2002 - Test equipment company NetTest today introduces a channel equalizer to allow system designers to more accurately control their all-optical networks. Built on NetTest's high-performance, multi-purpose bulk-optics platform, the DynaMics channel equalizer enables users to remotely control the amplitude of each network channel. This solution employs liquid crystal technology and delivers a remarkable channel profile and high dynamic range.

"Programmable components such as the DynaMics Channel Equalizer are vital in the development and maintenance of advanced networks," said Laurent Begin, director of product marketing. "This new product allows system designers to effectively pilot their networks, ensuring maximum protection and performance."

Live demonstrations of the channel equalizer will be conducted at the European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC) in Copenhagen, September 9-11, 2002. The DynaMics channel equalizer is available for immediate delivery.

A future member of the DynaMics family of programmable components, is a fully integrated, reconfigurable optical add/drop module built on the same bulk-optics multi-purpose platform combined with micro electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) technology. A prototype will be unveiled at the NetTest ECOC Booth #94 in Hall C.

A wholly owned subsidiary of Great Nordic, NetTest is a global provider of test and measurement systems, instruments and components for all types of networks and all stages of network development and operation. For more information on NetTest products, visit www.nettest.com.
