Stratus Networks chooses Precision OT’s OpenPath solution to expand all-fiber network
On July 25, the Belden brand Precision Optical Technologies announced that its OpenPath solution has been selected by Stratus Networks to expand its all-fiber network in Central Illinois.
OpenPath is a fully end-to-end Passive Optical Network (PON) solution, which Precision OT says enables flexible, extensible deployments of 10G XGS-PON, providing enhanced internet connectivity to Multi-dwelling Units (MDUs).
Stratus CTO Ben Russell said that partnering with a company with a deep understanding of PON engineering was critical.
“We required a simple-to-deploy solution that would help us achieve our current objectives and empower us with the ability to meet our customers’ evolving needs,” said Russell in a press release. “OpenPath does all that and more, and with a systems integration partner that understands our specific objectives.”
Keith Habberfield, senior vice president of sales & marketing at Precision OT, said the company’s partnership with Stratus shows its dedication to developing effective solutions.
“OpenPath creates nimble PON networks with endless scalability, all while being tailored to each network operator’s needs, driving their speed to market up in an era of budgetary compression,” said Habberfield in the same press release.
