Innolight named as the #1 optical transceiver supplier of 2023
In an update to its optical network vendor landscape report, LightCounting revealed that Innolight has taken the number one spot on the ranking list of optical transceiver suppliers.
LightCounting reported that increased investments in AI clusters have driven the demand for networking and optical connectivity equipment. The demand is so great, LightCounting reports, that large companies like Amazon, Google, and Meta are each essentially an individual market segment.
LightCounting also noted that Nvidia emerged as a new market segment in 2023 and that its suppliers (TFC, Innolight, Fabrinet, and Coherent) reported revenue growth, while all other optical component and module suppliers tracked by LightCounting reported revenue declines. The company also noted that Chinese vendors have improved their rankings following an exodus of Japanese and US suppliers from the market.
LightCounting’s complete top ten list of transceiver vendors of 2023 is as follows:
- Innolight
- Coherent (Finisar)
- Huawei (HiSilicon)
- Cisco (Acacia)
- Accenlink
- Hisense
- Eoptolink
- HGGenuine
- Source Photonics
- Marvell
The report, available on LightCounting’s website, includes data from the 12 leading suppliers of optical transceivers in several market segments.
