MAY 18, 2009 -- The module is designed for driving LiNb03 modulators with 22-Gbps DPSK and 2 x 22-Gbps DQPSK modulation formats.

MAY 18, 2009 -- Optical modulation product supplier Photline Technologies (search Lightwave for Photline) has introduced its DR-DG-20-HO, a driver module optimized for digital applications requiring an upper operation voltage. It exhibits a 12.5-Vpp output volatge and 29-dB gain up to 23 GHz.

The module is designed for driving LiNb03 modulators with 22-Gbps differential phase-shift keying (DPSK) and 2 x 22-Gbps differential quadrature phase-shift keying (DQPSK) modulation formats. It is operated from a single power supply voltage for safety and ease of use and offers gain and crosspoint control. The DR-DG-20-HO comes with K-type RF connectors (female in, male out) and an optional heat sink.
