Shenzhen-based optical component and subsystems supplier Hillton Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. says it has added transceivers with Class C+ optics to its line of GPON transceivers.

GPON transceivers with Class C+ optics offer greater transmission distances than those with Class B+ optics, which enables service providers to reach more customers at a reduced cost.

"The availability of Class C+ transceivers demonstrates our commitment to the PON transceiver market," said Wenqin Zhong, chairman and CEO of Hillton. "By leveraging both the rapid growth of the Chinese PON market and our own vertically integrated manufacturing model, Hillton continues to lead the way in reducing the cost of PON transceivers while keeping pace with the industry’s latest innovation."

Hillton will display the new GPON transceivers, along with its other fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) transceiver products and transceiver product lines for other applications at the OFC/NFOEC Exposition, March 6-8, at booth 720.
