FEBRUARY 3, 2011 -- AFL has released two new One-Click Cleaners, adding to the company's existing product line. The new options include: the One Click Cleaner Mini-100 and the One-Click Cleaner Ultra 2.5. As its name implies, the product requires a single click to clean connectors on jumpers and in adapters.

The Mini-100 provides the same performance and technology as the original, but is more compact, says a company spokesperson. It provides 100 cleans, and is well suited for cleaning SC, ST, FC, LC, MU, and TFOCA connectors.

The One-Click Ultra Cleaner 2.5 is said to have a larger cleaning area and to clean more of the connector endface than other options. It cleans up to a 2-mm-diameter area of SC, ST, and FC connectors, in fact.

According to an AFL spokesperson, the One-Click line of cleaners is suitable for and attractive to field technicians thanks to its ergonomic, comfortable design, as well as its single-action cleaning capability. Its precise cleaning method delivers consistent results, he adds, noting it can handle contaminates including dust and oils. An automatic-advance feature ensures each clean is performed with a fresh cleaning fabric.
