The Light Brigade says it has created an extended marketing relationship with the FTTH Council Americas to promote the online version of the training specialist’s Certified Fiber to the Home Professional (CFHP) fiber-optic training course.
The FTTH Council Americas and The Light Brigade worked together as the CFHP was first developed, and will continue to collaborate to ensure that the course content meets industry needs, says The Light Brigade. The council will add promotional and informational material to their website regarding The Light Brigade’s online version of the CFHP training program. The website will also contain a special discount code applicable to this course for registered members of the FTTH Council.
The CFHP program addresses job training skills for those interested in making the jump from legacy broadband access network technologies to FTTH technologies. Both the two-day instructor-led course and the on-demand e-learning course are designed to provide those unfamiliar with FTTH a solid foundation on which to build towards FTTH network design, planning, and management responsibilities. For experienced FTTH professionals, the courses will ensure familiarity with the most current information and expand their scope beyond their areas of specialization, the Light Brigade says.
The online CFHP program is particularly useful for remote and international students, who can take advantage of the training without the expense or inconvenience of travel. The online approach is not intended to take the place of the personal interaction available in instructor-led training classes, it supplies an organized, interesting, and interactive means for learning key technical material, according to The Light Brigade.
Either live or online, the course is designed to provide the knowledge necessary to pass the FTTH Council’s CFHP certification exam. With this additional offering from the FTTH Council, members and non-members now have the ability to access CFHP preparatory training 24/7 through the online CFHP training program.
“The Light Brigade has a 26-year history of providing outstanding fiber optic training largely in a classroom setting. During development, the goal for our e-learning program was to provide effective and engaging instruction via a different platform. We believe that our CFHP instruction program meets this need while offering a new avenue for training,” commented Dario De Paolis, vice president and general manager at The Light Brigade.
