Ericsson appoints 3SAE for US service

6 January 2003 -- Ericsson Network Technologies, AB, Stockholm, Sweden has appointed 3SAE Technologies, Inc., Nashville, Tennessee as its exclusive authorised service centre for North America.

6 January 2003 -- Ericsson Network Technologies, AB, Stockholm, Sweden has appointed 3SAE Technologies, Inc., Nashville, Tennessee as its exclusive authorised service centre for North America.

Since the closing of its former North American distributor, Amherst FiberOptics in December 2002, Ericsson has pursued a new resource for customers in the US, Canada and Mexico. Ericsson Network Technologies manufactures fibre-optic fusion splicers for optical manufacturing. The company provides factory splicing kits, outside plant field splicers, and other fibre-optic recoaters and accessories.

3SAE will now provide Ericsson certified service, support, training, fibre splice optimisation, spare parts and accessories for Ericsson's complete product line in the US, Canada and Mexico.

3SAE claims to be the leading manufacturer of automated high strength fibre preparation solutions including the AutoPrep which automates the strip, clean and cleave process and the AutoStrip, which Ericsson says is the world's first commercially available non-mechanical, non-chemical window stripper.
