Finisar Integrated Tunable Transmitter and Receiver Assembly (ITTRA)

Feb. 20, 2019
Finisar’s Integrated Tunable Transmitter and Receiver Assembly (ITTRA) is designed for easy customer integration into coherent line cards or DCO (Digital Coherent Optics) transceivers, enabling customers to accelerate their time to market and reduce program and development costs. All key building blocks of an ACO (Analog Coherent Optics) interface (tunable laser, optical amplifier, modulators, drivers, coherent mixer, photodiode array, and TIAs) are incorporated in a single optical subassembly, which is combined with a miniature controller board that provides customers a standardized management interface.

Judge’s comment: “It is critical to shrink the transceiver components and this product not only does that, but reduces power consumption as well. Excellent innovation.”
