ADVA offers FSP 150-XG480, FSP 150-Z4806 for 100G edge service aggregation
ADVA (FSE: ADV) has unveiled a pair of 100-Gbps edge service aggregation platforms. The FSP 150-XG480 is designed for the metro edge needs of communications services providers; ADVA targets the FSP 150-Z4806 at data center operators. Both feature 1.6-Tbps (800 Gbps full-duplex) switching capacity.
The ADVA FSP 150-XG480 will help service providers navigate the transition from 1 to 10 Gbps – or, potentially in the case of 5G fronthaul/backhaul, 25 Gbps – on the client side, says ADVA. The 2RU environmentally hardened platform delivers Ethernet OAM and Y.1564 service activation testing as well as what ADVA asserts is the first uncompromised full line-speed activation testing for 100-Gbps services on the market. It also supports hardware-based time distribution.
To meet the needs of data center interconnect and peering, the FSP 150-Z4806 supports automated provisioning of end-to-end SLA-based Carrier Ethernet 2.0 and Layer 3 connections as well as connections over IP networks that use tunneling technologies services such as VXLAN. It supports 48x10GbE ports plus 6x40G/100G ports (in any combination up to 800 Gbps total capacity) on the front panel. It also can operate via NETCONF/YANG open control.
