Accessbolaget delivers Carrier Ethernet services via ADVA FSP 150
Accessbolaget, a newly founded provider of Carrier Ethernet services in Sweden, has selected the ADVA FSP 150 for its service demarcation requirements and the ADVA FSP 3000 packet-optical transport platform in its nationwide backbone network, according to ADVA Optical Networking.
The platforms will support Accessbolaget‘s delivery of wholesale Carrier Ethernet services. They also will help the service provider participate in the Swedish government's drive to provide 90% of all households and companies in the country with access to Internet connectivity of at least 100 Mbps by 2020.
The young service provider expects to differentiate itself at least in part by the breadth of its footprint. "With a lot of imagination and courage, Accessbolaget has been able to tie together valuable local and regional infrastructure to create a national broadband network,” according to Nicklas Boqvist, sales manager, Nordics and Baltics, at ADVA Optical Networking.
"In recent years, demand for bandwidth has risen exponentially, but we believe that we're about to see an even bigger increase," said Jan Werne, CEO of Accessbolaget. "Nationwide companies, especially those with virtual private networks, all need high-capacity connectivity solutions. With ADVA Optical Networking's technology and our smart use of resources we can deliver bandwidths of up to 10 Gbps to every corner of Sweden."
Werne also praised the ADVA FSP 150 for its ability to support high availability and service assurance. He noted that Accessbolaget collaborated with ADVA on such elements as planning and development in the service provider's laboratories as well as the deployment process.
