Padtec ties with UfiSpace, IP Infusion for open switch and router development

The company expects to deliver an end-to-end equipment line for disaggregated communication networks.

Padtec has revealed plans to complement its line of optical transport systems with switches and routers. The Brazilian network equipment developer says it will partner with open hardware supplier UfiSpace and open OS vendor IP Infusion to create the portfolio.

The company expects to deliver an end-to-end equipment line for disaggregated communication networks. The line’s elements will pair UfiSpace's switches and routers IP Infusion’s OcNOS network operating system software. "The result is a complete, efficient, competitive, and market-demand-driven solution," asserted Carlos Raimar, CEO and investor relations director at Padtec.

"In this regard, UfiSpace and IP Infusion are strategically positioned to assist us in delivering a solution that meets the expectations of our customers."
