Alcatel (Paris) has changed the organization of its telecommunications sector, dividing it into three distinct groups each

focusing on unique aspects. The networking business group will comprise switching and mobile infrastructure, as well as network services. The access and transport business group will comprise transmission, access, submarine networks, and space activities. Lastly, the enterprise and consumer relations business group will comprise voice and data enterprise networks, which will be integrated, as well as a global system for mobile communications and Internet terminals.
