Fiber-optic network services provider Zayo Group LLC says it has been chosen as the preferred provider of fiber connectivity services for Ajubeo’s national cloud hub expansion. Ajubeo is a U.S.-based provider of high-performance virtual data centers and cloud infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS).

Zayo is providing fiber-optic network connectivity between existing Ajubeo cloud hub and network PoP data centers, as well as fiber that enables low-latency data transfer across the United States.

Ajubeo is currently working with Zayo to provide connectivity to locations in the Denver and New York markets. The national roadmap calls for production cloud hubs in Southern California and Florida, readying Ajubeo for international expansion to Asia Pacific and South America. Zayo’s presence in nearly 300 U.S. markets also enables on-demand deployment of Ajubeo cloud hub locations outside the pre-determined roadmap for customers with proximity-based needs, the companies say.

“Zayo is well-suited to support Ajubeo’s growing network of high-performance, maximum uptime cloud infrastructure services,” said Chuck Price, president and CEO of Ajubeo. “Zayo’s expansive fiber footprint reduces latency for Ajubeo customers deploying production applications across multiple regions and countries.”

Both companies are headquartered in Boulder, CO, part of the Front Range area where Zayo has 560 route miles and has recently invested in a fiber expansion from Fort Collins, to Denver, and to Colorado Springs. When completed in 2014, Zayo will offer over 1000 route miles serving the Front Range and local industry hubs such as the central business district and Denver Technology Center.

“Zayo’s network can be an important enabler for cloud service providers like Ajubeo,” said Glenn Russo, executive vice president of corporate strategy and development at Zayo. “Ajubeo can better serve its multiregional customer base by connecting services across our expansive fiber footprint.”
